With a front porch that offers a panoramic view of the Courtois River Valley, a 30 x 30 great room, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and a dining room designed for feasts, River Oaks Lodge offers space, comfort and elegance for relaxing and enjoying the company of family and friends.

 

Great room amenities include piano, wi-fi, satellite HDTV, stereo and dvd player, as well as a game table and wet bar.

 

The gourmet kitchen features two cooking alcoves, including a Jenn-Air grill and griddle. Guests also have access to an outdoor gas grill.

 

Just outside the lodge guests can build a bonfire in the cedar grove's fire ring or stroll down to the lake to fish for bass, blue gill, catfish and crappie.

With a quarter mile of river access, guests can plan a canoe/kayak/raft trip that begins or ends at our gravel bar beach. River Oaks Ranch staff can arrange rental and shuttle services with local outfitters.

A favorite destination of Midwest hikers, cyclists and equestrians, this Missouri treasure passes just outside the River Oaks Ranch gate.

Bring your own horses and ride the estate and the adjoining trails. Or we can arrange for a guided trail ride with local outfitters.

The estate, the Courtois, the Ozark Trail and the Mark Twain National Forest are a photographer's dream. Wildlife you might encounter include eagles, hawks, herons, wild turkeys and deer. An Ozark Family Vacation

Just outside of Steelville, Missouri, River Oaks Ranch is a magical getaway where friends and family can relax and reconnect. The lodge and grounds are a perfect site for family vacations, reunions, small corporate retreats and weddings.

 

Estate grounds extend for more than 200 acres through the rolling Ozark Mountains in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest. Walk out of the ranch gate and you are on the Ozark Trail, a scenic Missouri treasure with hundreds of miles of hiking/riding/equestrian trails.

 

Graciously appointed with antiques, artwork, Persian carpeting and many other comforts, River Oaks Lodge is still a welcoming place for families, with plenty of room inside and out for children to play and explore. The 10-foot dining room table seats 12, with another table nearby that seats 6. The 30x30 great room has a fireplace that spans 20 feet!

 

Step out of the great room onto the 30-foot furnished porch and have your morning coffee while enjoying a panoramic view of the Courtois River Valley and Missouri Ozark mountain ridges. The lodge sleeps up to 16 comfortably, with five spacious bedrooms and three baths.

 

Guests who want to enjoy a fire can gather around the fire pit in the cedar grove behind the Lodge. A fishing lake stocked with catfish, bass and crappie lies just outside the door.

 

Guided trail rides are also available at either of two local outfitters within 10 minutes of the estate. Ranch staff can arrange these for you.
