River Oaks Ranch is a 220-acre horse ranch situated in the rolling Ozark Mountains and in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest on the crystal clear Courtois Creek. Walk out the Ranch gate and you are on the Ozark Trail, a scenic Ozark treasure with hundreds of miles of hiking/cycling/equestrian trails.
The lodge is graciously appointed with antiques, artwork, Persian carpeting and many other comforts. The 10-foot dining room table seats 12, with another table nearby that seats 6. The 30 x 30 great room has a fireplace that spans 20 feet!
Twelve miles from Steelville, the lodge sleeps up to 16 comfortably. For floaters, hikers, hunters, and equestrians—or for those who simply want a quiet and serene break from the world—River Oaks Ranch is a wonderful place to put aside your cares for a while and celebrate life.
